valley bottoms contain a dense ground cover of herbs, vines,
shrubs, with only a few trees hence it's name " The Impenetrable
Forest" This is one of the richest faunal communities
in East Africa. There exists half of the world's population
of the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi forest. There
are also several endangered species of birds within limited
ranges.
Gorilla
tracking begun on 1st April 1993. It is advisable to make
your booking for gorilla tracking +3 Months with us in advance.
Atleast a few months before your intended date of visit. It
commonly rains in this area. Come with a rain gear, a good
pair of hiking boots, gloves and elastic bandage in case of
sprains.
Itinerary
:
Day
1 : Arrivals met at the airport and transfered to you
hotel on kampala city. Relief from Jet Lug. Dinner and Overnight.
Day
2 :
Leave Kampala very early and proceed to Buhoma via Mbarara
and Kabale. Lunch at the Lake View Hotel in Mbarara. Arrival
at Buhoma is in the evening.
Day
3 : Leave the camp after an early breakfast get the briefing
from the park warden, and its off to you adventure to met
these thrilling Gentle Giants of Bwindi impenetrable forest.
Tracking can be arduous and so we believe you are in a good
health condition. We also advise you to carry a rain jacket
as it often rains here & wear a good pair of hiking boots.
Return to the camp and relive those special moments with the
group. Dinner and Overnight.
Day
4 : After a relaxed breakfast set off to return to Kampala
through the rolling hills normally reffered two as the Switzerland
of Africa. Stop over for lunch at the Lake View Hotel in Mbarara
before proceeding to Kampala. Arrival will be in the evening.
Dinner and overnight on your Kampala Hotel. Check out Kampala's
night life.
Day 5 : Do your souvenir shopping keeping time for
you airport transfer.
